Prof. Xin Ren

Biography:

Dr. Xin Ren is a Full Professor at the Centre of Innovative Structures, Deputy Director of the Department of Intelligent Construction and Management, College of Civil Engineering, Nanjing Tech University. He graduated with a Ph.D. from RMIT University, Australia in 2017. He is Vebleo Fellow; Winner of Jiangsu Outstanding Youth Fund in China; Excellent young teacher of "Qing Lan Project" in Jiangsu Province; Top-notch talents of middle-aged and young people in Nanjing. Member of the International Negative Poisson's Ratio Materials and Structure Academic Committee (the only one in mainland China); Member of the Royal Society of Victoria, Australia; Reviewer of the National Natural Science Foundation of China; Member of the Youth Working Committee of the Jiangsu Mechanics Society; Vice president of the Young Teachers Association of Nanjing Tech University. Published more than 50 journal papers, including four "ESI Highly Cited" papers, with a total cited number of more than 1,850 times (Google Scholar: H-index is 21). Acted as Editorial Board or Youth Editorial Board for the following international journals: Defence Technology (JCR-Q1); Mechanics of Advanced Materials and Structures (JCR-Q2); Chinese Journal of Applied Mechanics. Acted as Guest Editor for the following international journals: Engineering Structures (JCR-Q1), Buildings (JCR-Q1) and Applied Sciences (JCR-Q2). Mainly engaged in the research of structural engineering, new materials and new structures, mechanical metamaterials, composite materials, etc.

Assoc. Prof. Qingfei Gao

Biography:

Qingfei Gao, Ph.D. in Engineering, Associate Professor, Master's Supervisor, Deputy Director of the Department of Bridge and Tunnel Engineering (in charge of graduate work), Highway and Water Transport Engineering Testing and Testing Engineer (Bridge and Tunnel Engineering, Road Engineering), has long been committed to the research of basic theories and application technologies in bridge engineering, long-term service performance of bridge structures in extreme environments, intelligent detection and rapid evaluation methods for bridge structures Significant research achievements have been made in the design theory and construction technology of complex bridge structures, as well as in the assessment of existing bridge structures and load limiting theory. In the past five years, I have led and participated in more than 10 scientific research projects, including the National Natural Science Foundation of China, the Key R&D Plan of Heilongjiang Province, the Key R&D Plan of Shandong Province, the China Postdoctoral Fund, the Jilin Provincial Department of Transportation and the Heilongjiang Provincial Department of Transportation Science and Technology Project. I have also led more than 30 horizontal projects, including bridge design review, construction technology services, bridge inspection, maintenance, and repair reinforcement; I have written 3 works (including 1 English academic monograph), edited and participated in over 10 national and industry standards; Authorized over 20 invention patents and 5 software copyrights; Published over 50 academic papers, including over 30 SCI/EI searches.

Assoc. Prof. Jiwei Wen 

Shijiazhuang Tiedao University, China

Biography:

Dr. Jiwei Wen is an Associcate Professor in Civil Engineering, specializing in the fields of Geological Engineering, Civil Engineering, Trenchless Technology and Drilling & Tunneling Engineering. He holds B.A. and Ph.D. from Jilin University in 2009 and 2014. Later, he worked at Dept. Geological Engineering, College of Environment and Civil Engineering, Chengdu University of Technology. In the meantime, he has finished postdoctoral researches at the State Key Laboratory of Geohazard Prevention and Geoenvironment Protection (SKLGP), Chengdu University of Technology. Moreover, he studied at Trenchless Technology Center at Louisiana Tech University as a Visiting Scholar from 2017 to 2018, USA. Now, he changed his work to Dept. Underground Engineering, School of Civil Engineering, Shijiazhuang Tiedao University, China. So far, he has presided over more than ten scientific research programs, main including National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC), Application Fundamental Research Programs of Sichuan Science and Technology Agency, National Key Laboratory Open Fund Projects, etc. In addition, he has published more than 20 papers, and authorized 10 national invention patents and 25 utility model patents. Furthermore, he is the reviewers of many international academic journals which are collected by SCI and domestic academic journals, such as Journal of Cleaner Production, Petroleum Science, Journal of the Brazilian Society of Mechanical Sciences and Engineering, Water Science and Engineering, Journal of Cluster Science, Coal Geological & Exploration, and Drilling Engineering , etc.
